I met Nicole and Jacob at their Edwardsville apartment to capture this sweet time in their growing family. Bennett, their sweet baby boy, was not interested in sleeping at first, but we convinced him eventually to give up the fight :) Peep Arlo, their dog, who was basically a pet model for the day. He was so well-mannered, and I loved the fact that we got to include him a few times. The weather was pretty cloudy that day, but we made good use of the light coming from windows and the sliding door and it cast a beautiful cozy mood to the photos. You might think "oh I couldn't do in-home photos for our newborn session because our house is too small" but this session goes to prove that you don't need a lot of space or even a dedicated nursery to have beautiful newborn photos in your home.
