I have had the pleasure of photographing my friends Matt and Jenna and their sweet family for a couple of years now. They had the idea to give their mom a gift card for an extended family session for Christmas. I think that is the best idea (not just because it's my business although I do love that too!) but because what mom doesn't want updated family photos? The beauty of a gift card is there is no pressure to pick the date. You just gift the card to them and then they can reach out to me to schedule the perfect time. In this case, they chose spring for their session, and I think they chose right! We met up at Tower Grove Park in St. Louis, Missouri which is absolutely breathtaking in the springtime. I had the best time getting to know more members of this family. Extended family sessions are so fun to me. You get the experience all the things that make families special. Grandparents loving on grandkids, siblings laughing and teasing each other, the love that the parents have for each other, and all the cousins running around.... it's full to the brim of chaotic beauty :) I hope you enjoy this glimpse into their beautiful session!
