I met up with this family at Rock Springs Park in O'fallon, Illinois. This park makes a perfect backdrop for a fall family session. The leaf colors are always vibrant and the tall grass adds such beauty and visual interest!
As a family photographer, you get to capture photos of people of all ages. The little ones are usually more generous with their smiles- in fact, having two younger boys of my own I can tell you sometimes the challenge isn't having them smile, but rather getting a "normal" smile as I call it. But teenage boys can be a little more stingy with their smiles- not always, but usually teenage boys are not the most enthusiastic for family picture day (LOL) But, I enjoy a challenge, and I make it my personal goal not to just convince them to smile, but to try to connect with them on some level and maybe, just maybe, convince them that family photos don't have to be painful.
Each member of this family was so unique and fun to document.
A family is made up of so many different personalities and yet at the end of the day, you form a bond that is something so incredibly special.
