Cue the "...You might wondering how I got here" sound byte. Well let me tell you about this fun surprise proposal. I've known this family for a while and have had the pleasure of doing family photos for them before several years ago. Well earlier this year, my friend Amy reached out to let me know that her son was wanting to propose to his girlfriend and they had thought up the idea of using family photos as a "ruse" to get her all dressed up without suspecting a proposal. Pretty smart, right? After some consideration, Forest Park was the place we chose for the session. There is so much variety in this park and it's beautiful in every season. Truly, it's one of the best photo locations St. Louis has to offer. So in addition to the family photos, we created an excuse to get the two of them secluded from the group and then with a few prompts from me, we created the best surprise moment for this sweet bride-to-be. Her family was hiding on the other side of the Pagoda Circle watching the excitement unfold, and then came rushing in to celebrate after. It was so fun to be involved in this, and I think it's easy to tell how exciting this day was for everyone :)
